Now lately I've really been into Kpop music after being drawn back into it after a 5 year hiatus. As much as I LOVEEEEE my Kpop boy groups, I have to say I'm looking forward for this Cpop, thats right I said CPOP, boy group called M.I.C. to debut.
I first heard of M.I.C. when they were to release another version of the LG Lollipop phone song, specifically targeting the Chinese market, with Kpop girl girl f(x). After watching the music vid I decided I would find out more about this boy group...in which I haven't yet but! they are pretty good from what I've observed so far.
Many fans of the Big Bang/2NE1 version of the Lollipop song have been pretty biased. I mean come on, give this version a chance at least. Did they forget that 2 members of f(x) is CHINESE. Plus this song is targeting the market in CHINA by LG. It's not like they intended to market to Korea, they already did that with BB and 2NE1.
Back to M.I.C., I sampled two of their songs on youtube and I like them, because they are catchy and hey it's in Chinese. It's nice to hear other languages sometimes you know? Their rapper is pretty good at English, sounds like he's almost fluent, who knows, maybe he's from the states! I really do look forward for them to debut and I hope they debut soon!
YOU BE THE JUDGE! (Don't forget to turn off the music on the side bar...to the left :)
Lollipop - f(x)/M.I.C version (Chinese)
Lollipop - Big Bang/2NE1 version (Korean)
M.I.C - 要命烦恼 (idk what it says lol)

ReplyDeleteIdon't really know why people like to always compare... they need to understand that the world is not equal as they think.
I'm a Big Bang and 2NE1 fan (somehow, but I am :x) and I liked f(x) and M.I.C's version, not because I like M.I.C or because it's a "batidão" (in my country, this "batidão" can be considered as funk - but I don't like funk xD) but because it's cool to listen. Both versions are...
Your blog's cool *-*
Lol thanks Debbie for checking out my blog! I think you're probably the first person outside my family who has checked it ^^
ReplyDeleteWhat country are you from?
I totally agree with the comparison of things. People have been so hard headed about these things. Like you said, the world isn't equal and the two different versions were targeting two completely different cultures.
